Christmas Lights Contest
Delegate Nic Kipke and his colleagues from District 31 including Delegate Don Dwyer, Delegate Steve Schuh, and Senator Bryan Simonaire will be gathering nominations from the community for homes in all of District 31 that have the best Christmas lights.
Judging
A total of nine finalists will be selected, three from each area listed in the rules. The finalist’s photos will be posted on www.kipke.com/christmas on January 4, 2010. Residents will then be encouraged to vote for their first, second, and third best for each of the three areas.

Winners
The nine finalists will be invited to Annapolis on Monday, January 25 where they will participate in an awards ceremony. At that time the first, second and third place winners will be announced. Each will receive a 2009 personalized Christmas tree ornament, etched with their family name. The finalists will also enjoy a personal tour of the state house of Maryland and enjoy Hot Chocolate and Cookies with Delegates Kipke, Dwyer, Schuh, and Senator Simonaire.
Contest Rules
- Nominations must be made by January 1, 2010
- Self nominations are encouraged
- Nominee must be a resident of District 31
- Three finalists will be selected from each of the following areas. Each
area will have one First Place, one Second Place, and one Third Place
Winner. The areas include:
- Brooklyn Park / Glen Burnie
- Pasadena / Gibson Island / Baltimore (A. A. Co.)
- Severna Park / Millersville
- First, Second, and Third Place winners will be selected by the most votes cast. The voting method will be determined shortly.
